Kartuli is a restaurant and wine shop presenting the best authentic Georgian cuisine and wines in one of the most beautiful and historic buildings of East Dulwich, the David Grieg premises at 65 Lordship Lane.
Kartuli, which simply means Georgian, was founded by friends from Georgia and the UK. Their aim is simple: to demonstrate the world-renowned Georgian tradition of hospitality through the production of beautifully cooked and presented classic Georgian dishes that might be found at any Georgian feast or, cooked with love, in any Georgian home. By bringing an authentic slice of Georgian culture to South East London there is an underlying desire to promote awareness not only of the wonderful food and wines of Georgia, but also its traditions, stunning landscapes and its ancient history and mythology. Everyone here at Kartuli respects and observes the Georgian philosophy that "a visitor is a gift from God".
Our wine shop presents one of the most extensive ranges of Georgian wines and spirits available in the UK and some of the most exciting and award winning wines too. Each wine, each grape variety and each producer have an interesting story to tell and we love to share this with you. Georgia is internationally recognised as the birthplace of wine so there are 8000 years of winemaking history behind every bottle that we sell. All our wines and spirits are imported by UK's specialised, leading Georgian wine importer and distributor
Taste of Georgia.
To match our ever-expanding selection of award-winning wines, our Georgian cuisine is updated constantly to ensure we offer the very best in seasonal quality and variety in a menu created by our team of chefs. Our kitchen bakes its own breads and Khachapuri to order. Our classic Khinkali are also freshly prepared to order and are never frozen.
Our wine list is available to order from our online shop using the click and collect service.
We look forward to welcoming you at our restaurant and wine shop.
Gaumarjos!
